A Descendant of Kings!

Hi All,

You would never know it from the way that I grew up that I might come from a royal bloodline!

I grew up in a rented dilapidated farmhouse (photo above) in a small town in Massachusetts with a policeman dad and a stay at home mom. My parents drove old rusted out cars, bought used furniture and sourced hand me down clothing for their 3 boys. We never went on an actual vacation. Our big trips involved going to the local amusement park or to stock car racing a couple of times a year. We only ate at a restaurant once or twice a year. They couldn’t afford to send us to boy scouts or pay for any organized sports. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my parents and would not trade my childhood for anything, but there was not a lot of extra money in our household beyond paying the bills.

That being said, had I known about my legacy sooner, I might have chosen a different path in life. I have been researching my family tree for years on the My Heritage website and recently discovered that I am a direct descendant of two kings in Scotland. My research shows that I am a direct descendant of James I and II Stewart, King of Scots. James I from 1406 to 1437 and James II 1437 to 1460.

Now, with any genealogy research, you need to take the information with a grain of salt because you are only one great great great great grandparent missed connection away from the wrong family tree.

Well, I am sticking with my research because I like what I found out. I jokingly just need to figure out how to take advantage of my new found family connection.

This means that I am not going to spare any expense when it comes to new art supplies going forward as I’m sure this new association will pay off, or at least it’s a good excuse!

Now, who do I call to get my knighthood?

Take care,

Garry
